Job Description:

Genesis10 is seeking a Contract Database Administrator. This role is with a financial company HYBRID 2-3 days in Milwaukee, WI or Louisville, KY. This is a 8+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:
Investigate and learn new and emerging database technologies (e.g. Azure data technologies) with an eye to selecting and implementing the right solution for project teams and the business
Build, configure, and administer new database servers, databases, objects, and ETL
Monitor current databases and database servers for performance, stability, and scalability
Develop and implement improvement plans for performance and standards
Communicates and collaborates with project delivery teams to ensure implementation of best practices and continuous improvement.
Mentor delivery teams on best practices
Ability to work in a 24x7 support environment, participate in an on-call rotation, and have experience responding to client needs as raised in Service Desk tickets.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred, or a combination of experience and education
2+ years of experience in a technical role with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, SQL Reporting Services
Experienced with and interested in Cloud and next-generation data technologies (e.g., Azure Data Services, Power BI, Alteryx, SSAS Tabular, etc.)
Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, T-SQL, and PowerShell.
Ability to develop, communicate, and train
Have an Automation mindset
Ability to communicate and work effectively in a team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects
Focused and driven with superb problem-solving attributes
Business analysis experience with the ability to translate technical information to a non-technical audience
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects

Preferred Experience:
Experience with industry-standard, third-party management tools
Understanding of change management methodologies
Experience with technical, user documentation, and training
Familiarity with Nonprofit Cloud, Experience Cloud, or Financial Services Cloud
Agile Methodology experience highly preferred (Kanban, User Stories, Sizing, Retro, etc.
