Work Schedule:
80% FTE, day shift. Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Hours are based off the operational needs of the department. You will work at the University Hospital located in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to:

• 
  
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high quality, compassionate and comprehensive care to adult patients with sickle cell disease.
  
• Establish goals and strategies for meeting the continuing needs of patients.
  
• Provide care coordination and follow up on care plans with a focus on symptom management.
  
• Develop trusting relationships with patients with sickle cell disease and their families and provide support in overcoming barriers to care.
  
• Assist with program development and ensure sustainability through data collection/analysis and outcome evaluation.
  
• Incorporate changes in practice to reflect new advances and evidence-based interventions.
  
• Support community outreach interventions and educational efforts to help serve more patients and reduce stigma of the disease.

    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred

      • 2 years of relevant nursing experience Required
        
      • Experience in teaching patient and families Required
        
        
        
        Licenses & Certifications

        • Registered Nurse, Licensed in the State of Wisconsin Required
