We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is upbeat and genuinely enjoys helping people. As part of the patient care team, you must always have a warm and welcoming demeanor.*Position: Plastic Surgery Medical Assistant*The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years of patient care experience in a clinic setting, is friendly, polished, well-spoken, and committed to offering outstanding customer service.*Qualifications** CMA or RMA certificate highly desirable* Training in plastic surgery assisting a plus* Operating room experience very desirable* Bilingual in Spanish desirable*Essential Skills and Abilities** Prepares patients for examination by Surgeon; captures all vital signs, provides gown, takes photos, starts progress notes (Scribe) & other key indicators as directed, utilizing universal precautions* Responsible for carrying out patient care directives instructed by the Surgeon to ensure quality patient care such as removing and applying dressing, applying garments, topical anesthetic, cold packs, etc.* Triaging patient inquiries and concerns to determine appropriate party for follow up* Discussing cosmetic surgery and treatment options with prospective patients* Sterilizes instruments adhering to safety standardsThis is a part-time position for Wednesdays and Fridays.We are actively recruiting for the right candidate and looking to find the perfect new team member right away!
